There’s a sound I’m coming to believe is uniquely Peterborough-bred. Unhurried, anthemic, rumours of folk devoid of cloy.
Jos Fortin released his debut album, Typewriter, at the Spill on March 13, 2012. Produced by Fortin and James Bunton (Ohbijou, Evening Hymns, Diamond Rings, PS I Love You), it rings true with an authenticity that emerges from Fortin’s roots in a musical household, raised and nurtured in his own hometown. Musically distinctive and gentle, there is nothing is naive about the lyrics of the album – it’s full of vivid storytelling and poetry.
